# Ad Fair-Use & Access Policy for Budget Tracker

**Effective Date:** June 4, 2026

**Last Updated:** June 4, 2026

This Ad Fair-Use & Access Policy (“Policy”) explains how Budget Tracker (the “App”) protects against advertising fraud and invalid ad traffic, and the access restrictions that may apply if abusive ad-interaction behavior is detected. This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

## 1. Introduction

The free version of Budget Tracker is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. Automated, repeated, accidental-but-repeated, or deliberately fraudulent interactions with these advertisements (“invalid activity”) violate Google AdMob’s program policies and can jeopardize the App’s ability to display advertisements at all. To protect the App and its legitimate users, the App includes an automated fair-use enforcement system described in this Policy.

## 2. Scope

– This Policy applies **only to free users who are shown advertisements**.

**Premium subscribers are not subject to this Policy**, as they do not see advertisements.

## 3. Why This Policy Exists

Advertising fraud and invalid traffic can lead to the suspension or termination of the App’s advertising account, which would harm all users of the free version. This Policy exists to detect and prevent such activity and to keep the App available.

## 4. What Is Monitored

Your interactions with in-app advertisements are evaluated **automatically and locally on your device**. Behavior considered abusive includes, without limitation:

– Automated or scripted advertisement clicks;

– Repeated or rapid clicking of advertisements;

– Other interactions that constitute invalid traffic under Google AdMob policies; and

– Running the App on an emulator or simulator.

## 5. Graduated Access Restrictions

If abusive ad-clicking behavior is detected, your access to the App may be restricted on a graduated basis:

| Violation | Restriction |

|———–|————-|

| First violation | Access restricted for **1 day** |

| Second violation | Access restricted for **3 days** |

| Third violation | **Permanent** restriction |

Temporary restrictions are lifted automatically once the applicable period has elapsed.

## 6. Immediate Permanent Restrictions

Certain actions result **directly in a permanent restriction**, without graduated steps, including:

– Clicking the app-open advertisement two (2) times; and

– Using the App on an emulator or simulator.

## 7. Persistence of Restrictions

A permanent restriction is associated with a **one-way hashed device identifier** and an anonymous identifier. As a result, a permanent restriction may remain in effect **even if the App is uninstalled and reinstalled**. Restrictions may be removed only by the App’s operator.

## 8. Information Used for Enforcement

To enforce restrictions, the App uses **only**:

– A **one-way hashed (irreversible) device identifier**, derived from the platform device identifier; and

– An **anonymous, randomly generated token**.

This system **does not collect** personal information, financial data, or any content you enter into the App. The hashed identifier cannot be reversed to identify you. For further details on how this information is processed, please see our Privacy Policy.

## 9. Security

The App uses Firebase App Check (with Play Integrity on Android and App Attest on iOS) to verify that enforcement requests originate from the genuine, unmodified App. App Check does not collect personal data.

## 10. Your Responsibilities

– Please do **not** click on advertisements unless you genuinely intend to interact with them.

– Do **not** use automated means to interact with advertisements.

Repeated or automated advertisement interactions are considered abuse and may result in the temporary or permanent loss of access to the App.

## 11. Acceptance and Limitation

By using the free version of the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and agree that access restrictions may be applied to your device if abusive ad-interaction behavior is detected. Detection is automated and applied at the operator’s discretion. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App’s developer and publisher are not liable for any loss of access resulting from detected abusive ad interaction.

## 12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time, including adjusting enforcement parameters and thresholds (which may be configured remotely) to address fraud and abuse. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, by requesting your renewed acceptance within the App.

## 13. Governing Document

All translations of this Policy are provided for convenience and are generated using automated translation tools. In the event of any discrepancy, the **English version of this Policy prevails**.

## 14. Contact and Appeals
